Excel Conditionnal Formatting RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi everybody,

    I'm a VBA newbie.
I would like to know wether it is possible to apply format conditions to a text contained in a cell with Selection.FormatConditions such as:
    'Partie 1 italic
    Cells(ligne, 1).Characters(1, longueur_partie_1).Font.Italic = True

    'Partie 2 bold
    Cells(ligne, 1).Characters(longueur_partie_1 + 2, longueur_partie_2).Font.Bold = True

    Thanks for your help

    Pete

Answers

  • No, that is not possible. Conditional formatting applies to a cell as a whole, there is no way to format parts of the cell contents conditionally.
