  • There is no limit to the number of possible languages, so the answer to your question is "yes".

    Note that the link provided to the Wikipedia article does not specifically represent a list of .Net languages.

    .Net languages can be divided into 1st Party and 3rd Party classifications.  Languages like VB.Net, C#, and VC++ are 1st Party .Net languages provided by Microsoft.  Languages such as VisualRPG and Smalltalk are 3rd Party languages provide by other vendors.  A non-exhaustive list can be found here:

  • Does it matters?

    I think for most users that's considering using .NET, the only important information is that "Does the programming language (or more importantly, the platform such as WinXP) you're using have new version .NET support?"
