  • Hi,

Please take a look at this blog from one of our Senior Program Managers on Cross-Subscription Disaster Recovery

This is a recently released feature enabling multi-subscription disaster recovery for Virtual Machines. The Virtual Machines will need to be in the same geographical cluster. With this new feature the target subscription will be the same as the source VM's subscription. Details such as resource group and Virtual Networks will auto populate from the target subscription.

To enable the cross-subscription, access the virtual machine configuration blade and select the Disaster Recovery option within Operations

Then select the Target Subscription; by default, the selected subscription is the same as the one used by the virtual machine

This guide may also help for disaster recovery to a secondary region https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/site-recovery/azure-to-azure-tutorial-enable-replication
