  • Hi Product Team,

I've been playing with Stream Analytics and must say that I'm impressed. I have previously used StreamInsight and whilst it is very powerful it required a lot of work to get up and running, the huge advantage that Stream Analytics brings is the ease with which you can get up and running.

I made a demo system that integrated SignalR with an event hub which receives output from a Stream Analytics job and updates a real time chart (http://kzhendev.wordpress.com/2014/11/06/azure-stream-analytics/). Next up I want to look into using reference data in a query.

The only downside that I've come across so far is that you're only allowed one output per job. This means that if someone wanted to store the results into a db/blob for later analysis and publish to an event hub you would have to setup two jobs with the same query etc..

Overall, great work. Looking forward to further updates!

  • Thanks for the kind words!

Also, thanks for a great suggestion, this is something we are definitely considering.

The way I have been thinking to work around this is to have the job output the result to an EventHub and in there have code that "routes" the result, conceivably to multiple result "end-points".
