How to get each monitor PPI RRS feed

  • Question

  • Is it possible to get each monitor PPI(Pixel per inch) in C#, tried Win32_DesktopMonitor using PixelsPerXLogicalInch and PixelsPerYLogicalInch, but they are not same as in monitor specifications(difference was 8) Thanks for ideas.

  • That is quite possible. The monitor spec is going to be giving you the hardware value. Windows is going to give you what is available. They may not be the same. Hardware manufacturers give you the highest # while the OS is going to return the reality. This happens for a lot of things (memory, HDD space, etc). I'd say your calculations are correct but you didn't post them so I cannot say for certain.

After some searching I found this: https://www.calculatorsoup.com/calculators/technology/ppi-calculator.php I get exact PPI as manufacturer shows.
