Does the current version of Entity Framework support second level caching? RRS feed

  • Could someone help me in answering the above question? If we don’t have L2 caching out of box what are other alternatives and could you also give me the right path/url where I can go and explore more on the alternative solutions.

  • Hi,

    I guess, there is no L2 cache available yet to EF. But there is extensible point to implement this which lays between EntityClient and DataBase.

    Check this http://code.msdn.microsoft.com/EFProviderWrappers explains with code how you can write/use Wrapper providers for this
