Remote Connections in XP RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello all,

i dont know whether its a right category to put this question?

i have a network of few machines who are part of WORKGROUP not a domain as i dont have a server; using windows RDC im able to connect the machines in my worklgroup; means machine A can access Machine B via RDC with no problems.

The problem is that if machine A is being used by a user and machine B connects then the current session on machine A ends; which i dont want to happen.

Is there is way or software or solution that can enable machine A to allow two different users to access while allowing user of machine A continue his work without any disturbance?

any reply would be great help.

    good day and thanks,

  • Windows XP does not allow multiple remote sessions. If you really want to do this, you would have to install Windows 2003 server and then configure it allow multiple sessions. You don't need to tie this to a domain and can still work under WORKGROUP.
