How to create an extended app bar?

    Question

  • Hi

I need to add a secondary app bar just above the bottom app bar to my app. This secondary app bar would open when user clicks a button on bottom app bar and would get dismissed on another click on same button. This app bar would have two check box controls and one "Apply changes" button.

    Any inputs are highly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance

  • Hi Parul,

I believe there can be only one AppBar on top and bottom at a time. For the secondary AppBar idea, I think you can use the PopUp control and then put a StackPanel/Grid inside it so that all controls can be wrapped in a single panel.

Then, to position it appropriate above the bottom AppBar , you will need to add some values to the HorizontalOffset / VerticalOffset properties of the PopUp - which will help it appear distinctly. You can also add the PopupThemeTransition in case you'd like the control to fly into the view.
