SQL Server 2016 and MapR

    Question

  • Dear All ,

As mentioned in the SQL Server 2016 user guide, polybase is supported by Cloudera and Hortonworks

Anyone tried connecting with MapR ? any workaround ?

    Thanks

  • Hi Anky,

I am not familiar with MapR. Could you please describe more details about that why you need to connect to MapR from SQL Server? If you want to move data between SQL Server and MapR, based on my search, you can use Sqoop and  generic JDBC connector to achieve this requirement. For more details, please review the following article and similar thread.

    Sqoop
    Sqoop2 connect to MSSQL Server

In addition, I would recommend you post the question in MapR forum at https://community.mapr.com/  to get more ideas.

    Thanks,
    Lydia Zhang
