Office default themecolorscheme RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

With VBA it is possible to load another themecolorscheme from the folder. I'll go not into the details about where and how, it is basically

    ActiveWorkbook.Theme.ThemeColorScheme.Load

and that is working fine but the default theme does not exists in the folder. How can I reload the default themecolorscheme.

Preferrable in a direct way and not by adding a new workbook to read the default scheme.

    Kind regards,

    JP Ronse

Answers

  • Hi,

The active themmecolorscheme can be saved with

    ActiveWorkbook.Theme.ThemeColorScheme.Save ("Default.xml")

    It stores the file in Environ("AppData") & "\Microsoft\Templates\Document Themes\Theme Colors\

and can be reloaded with ActiveWorkbook.Theme.ThemeColorScheme.Load

    Kind regards,
