Configuring EDI/AS2 RRS feed

  • Question

  • When i am trying to configure Biztalk EDI As2 with the 3rd option

Enable Biztalk EDI\As2 Runtime Status Reporting for this biztalk group .... It fails with the error :Failed to deploy BAM activity definitions...

but when i uncheck it i am able to configure it.

My question is what does this third option signify   Enable Biztalk EDI\As2 Runtime Status Reporting for this biztalk group .......Is it ok if i do not check this option....

  • For Runtime status reporting you need to have BAM confirgured before you do the EDI/AS2 configuration. To answer your question it depends on your requirement whether you need the status reporting or not?

  • My question is what does this third option signify   Enable Biztalk EDI\As2 Runtime Status Reporting for this biztalk group .......Is it ok if i do not check this option.... --> You enable this to get  "BizTalk EDI/AS2 Runtime Status Reporting user interface that provides comprehensive status of EDI interchanges and correlated acknowledgments"

I would suggest you to refer this MSDN page for more details

Is it ok if i do not check this option.... -->If you do not want reporting then you could skip it.

  • This option creates the BAM activities for EDI and AS2 status reporting. These activities determine the data that is displayed in the status reports. You can see all these activities here.
