Import images to something like a resource file so is acsesable through out the application...?

    Question

  • Ok, so I have a simple app and I want to display an image. I have used the tool box to put an image on the xaml design view but I want to get an image from a resource file? could I use Assets? And how do I set that source to the image? Any help will be much appreciated. I am using Visual Studio 2013 for Windows, and scripting in VB.

    Thank you In advance

  • Correct: you can put them in assets.

Image files are included loose un the apps package rather than being compiled into a resources file.

  • ok, Thank you for your reply!

do you know how I would do this? I have tried to put them in the directory (C:\Users\Jordan\Documents\Visual Studio 2013\Projects\The Media Place\The Media Place\Assets) but then don't show up in the assets file within Visual Studio?
