Display favicon for PDF in SharePoint site RRS feed

    Hi,

    When I try to access my SharePoint web site, I do see the fav icon on the browser. However, when I open PDF document (directly on the browser), the fav icon disappears , even though the url in the address bar looks like http://SITENAME/../../PDFFILE.pdf

    Any suggestions on how to get the default site fav icon for opening PDF documents on the browser?

    Hi SharePoint Techy,

    Are you using Adobe PDF Reader add-on to open PDF files in the browser? I suppose the favicon cannot be displayed in Adobe. For more information about showing favicon in the PDF files, I recommend you contact with Adobe support, so that a dedicated Support Professional can assist you to an efficient solution and best result for this scenario.

    As a workaround, you could render a PDF file using iframe.
