Debugging JScript in Visual Studio 2010 Wizard RRS feed

  • Question

  • I've bee struggling with this going on two days now.  I have a VS2010 solution that contains some JScript code (default.js) that makes up the processing of a custom app wizard.  I've tried everything I could find (ie. setting IE9 script debug flags in Advanced page), but, to no avail.  When I try to set a breakpoint in the code, I consistently get "This is not a valid location for a breakpoint".  Does anyone know how to get this to work?

  • Dear BaradaNikto,

Javascript debugging in VS2010 is not possible. Maybe it is possible with some external plugin. What I always do is debugging in Google Chrome. When the page is loaded in Chrome press: Ctrl + Shift + i

In the source tab you can set breakpoints and check variables. Hope this helps you out.
