  • Hi Aileen,

    What driver are you installing on the computer? And are you sure that the driver name is correct? Please post more information here for analysis. When you set up a linked server to a Sybase server, there are some notes for troubleshooting the problems that may occur, you can refer to them.
    1.  We need to confirm the Sybase client software is correctly installed on the computer;
    2. The network is connectivity between the client computer and the server computer.
    3. We need to verify that the Sybase ODBC driver is installed.

    There are more details about connecting a Sybase database server with SSMS, you can refer to the following link.
