Why no access to WMI?

Question

Since there is no Win32 API available to WinRT components to get the current process memory footprint (for debugging output) I wanted to query the WMI console. The header states that this API is not available for Metro apps. Whats the reason for that?

Hello,

The metro style app limit the communication between metro and Win32 application. Therefore, Metro style apps can use a subset of the Win32 and COM API.

You can try to find the API which you want to use if it is in the list.
