Msaccess .accde files non responsive

Question

I have created several programs in office 365 msaccess 2016.

The previously created .accde files work correctly on the development machine and also under runtime machines.

However, since a couple of days (towards the end of November 2017), newly created .accde files open, but have no functionality (pressing a button on the main screen does not do anything).

I am trying to run the .accde file on the same computer from the same folder.

Do the databases have a trusted location created?

Have you tried an office repair?

Have you tried decompiling, compacting, recompiling and compacting the accdb and then creating a new accde?

Have you tried importing everything into a new blank database and create the accde from there?

Have you tried performing a manual update of Office?

Have you tried reverting to a previous version of Office in case it is a bug with the current version you are running?
