SQL Server not installed when adding Web Apps resource provider RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am trying to add Web Apps resource provider to Azure Stack. I followed documentation on MSDN. I got an error "No default connection string was found" after importing certificates to Management VM and running the import-modules PowerShell scripts in Controller VM.
Then I figured out that SQL serer wasn't installed in the VM after running Deploy-SqlServerDSC.ps1. I verified that .Net 3.5 is installed. How can I find out what went wrong in the SQL server installation.

  • It turns out that the SQL VM created doesn't have internet connectivity inside it. So SQL server wasnt installed.

  • Hi Abinaya,

When you open a PowerShell prompt and run the Deploy-SqlServerDSC.ps1 with the -verbose switch, what is the final output? I would start with this, but we can look at other areas if this doesn't give clues.
