Windows Mobile 6 Standard Device’ Connection failed RRS feed

  • I get the following errors when trying to connect my mobile device:

    To ‘Windows Mobile 6 Standard Device’ Connection failed. 
    No connection could be made because the target machined actively refused it.


    or I get this error:

    To ‘Windows Mobile 6 Standard Device’ Connection failed. 

    Connection failed. The device security configuration disallowed the connection. Ensure that you have the appropriate certificates on your device for development. Review your SDK documentation for proper security settings for connecting to this device.

  • Hi PhatMike,

    I thing you are using "Windows Mobile 6 Standard Device" with VS-2005 so you have to install "SdkCerts.cab " in device. That is available in your PC below paths.

    For Smartphone
    C:\Program Files\Windows CE Tools\wce500\Windows Mobile 5.0 Smartphone SDK\Tools\

    For PPC
    C:\Program Files\Windows CE Tools\wce500\Windows Mobile 5.0 Pocket PC SDK\Tools


    after installing this file on your device you are able to connect it.
