.NET Fatal Execution Engine Error EventID 1000 and 1023 occasionally crashing app RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

I have a C# VS2005 client-server application that over the past 6 months or so has occasionally crashed due to the .NET Runtime errors below.  The server is currently run as a service using SrvAny.  I have seen both the client and server crash.

    Description:
.NET Runtime version 2.0.50727.1433 - Fatal Execution Engine Error (79FFEE24) (80131506)

Researching the errors keeps leading me to the following KB article:

    http://support.microsoft.com/Default.aspx?kbid=913384

I have tried upgrading to .NET 2.0 SP1 (which I was told includes the Hotfix in the KB article) and continue to occasionally see the errors.  Does anybody have any other suggestions?

    Thanks.
