  • That is going to depend on the base of your coordinate system. The Skeleton provides a BoneOrientationCollection where the values are a matrix that you can use. The Hierarchical matrix values provide the vectors for the X,Y,Z directions for the joint. Determining the angle would require the math.

  • Thank you, i'am clear about the value or the coordinate... But the problem now is, how can i display those value into the text on kinect camera?

The samples on Kinect SDK 1.7 c++ is using win32 application (i think)... I want to show the value result on the camera display... Is there any function i can use for this problem ?

PS : is not working on printf even cout, I tried using TextOut(.....), but the text come out with "blink-blink" effect

  • The drawing of data on the screen would be dependent on the UI framework you are using. If you need assistance with Direct2D, Direct3D, MFC or Win32, then you will need to look into other resource to learn those API's.

The Kinect for Windows SDK is independent from your choice of UI, which is why you can use other frameworks such as OpenCV, Matlab and Unity for example. If you want to learn more on Win32 programming, have a look at the MSDN docs to get you started:
