I have several report that I can currently get to by logging on as Administrator when prompted by Windows Security. There will other users that will need to access these reports and without being able to see what I see logged in as Administrator. In other words, those users will have view access only.  My question is how do I set up other user accounts to access these reports. I noticed when going into SSRS Report Manager as Administrator I have the abililty to set up 'Site-Wide Security' or system role assignments, item level roles, etc. Would this be something I could do as far as setting up users with their own accounts or is there another method of doing this?

you need to give permissions to those user in your report server, you can find the link below:

    Dear User,

If your data on the reportviewer is not so sensitive, then instead of adding up each user in the sql server reporting manager, you can give a user as Everyone which means anyone can access that url. Set the permission for just Browser  which defaults the user only for READ ONLY.

Yes, as you are an administrator, you can set up 'Site-Wide Security' or role assignments.

Let me know if you need any more guidance on the same.

Yes this will be sensitive material so there will definitely need to be a log in.

OK I get all of this but where I get confused is how the user gets in and how adding them in Report Manager solves this.

We have several sales managers that will be viewing these reports. When they go to the Report Manager site it should prompt them for a username and password. How do they log in, are they using their normal Windows username and password that they log into their computers with? When I go to Site Settings from the Home page I currently have two groups/users set up: BUILTIN\Administrators that has a COntent Manager role and my username as a System User. Yet when I log in I can with my username and an old network password. I know that I'm set up on that server in the Administrators group back before I changed my password, is that why I'm able to get in. If I add another user will that user be able to log in? And what would they log in with?

If I go to Home > Properties there are currently two groups/users set up: BUILTIN\Administrators that has a COntent Manager role and BUILTIN\Users - Browser role. So how does it know the user that should have access to this site.

Sorry for so many questions, I'm sort of a beginner with a lot of this stuff so please understand my questions are of a beginner's mindset.
