Restart sequential workflow in Visual Studio 2010 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

I have a requirement where an approval workflow start for a set of approvers. The task has the followin status (Rejected, Approved, Request for change), if an approver selected request for change the workflow should start all over again. I created a sequential activity with a task on task change, task complete inside and a replicator that containse that sequential activity it works fine. How can i make the workflow starts all over again on Request Change?

  • Hi,

As per my suggestion, you should go with State Machine Workflow.

  • Some people advised me to do sequential workflow and other advised me to use state machine, the issue is that i do not know the number of approvers so i was advised to use sequential because i should use replicator activity is this correct am new to visual studio workflows and i have a delivery tomorrow :P so basically i need to get it done.

So out of your experience i should use sequential or state machine ?
