Enabling code completion in a rich text box RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

I'm working on a HTML editor as a learning project. I recently posted a question on enabling syntax highlighting in a rich text box and I received a great link. Now my editor provides syntax highlighting. I used regular expressions to do this.

Now I would like to enable code completion. I have not been able to find any tutorials on this subject, though. I was wondering if there is a simple way to do this.

For example, could I just use a list box with a collection of keywords and then make it visible when the user types text that matches the keywords in the list box. The matching keyword in the list box would be then highlighted. The list box would only be visible when the current text matches a keyword.

Please keep in mind that I'm still pretty new to programming and I'm not looking for anything fancy. Really, all I'm looking for is a simple way to do this to get me started.

If possible please provide code. I hope I'm not asking too much!

    Thanks in advance.
