Customized bootable image instead of windows image

Question

Hi All,

I have a requirement to use our own bootable image instead of windows boot image. It means i need to see my own image when system is booting.

Is anyone knows where will be the windows image is stored in system. To use my own image what is the change i need to do?

Microsoft removed the easy way to change the boot splash screen starting with WES7. For XP Embedded, there was the boot.bmp and boot.ini options to set. Starting with WES7 and onward, you have to boot to UEFI bios and put the picture in the UEFI bios. The only other option is to have a black screen on boot.

your best bet is to see if the board manufacturer is prepared to share the tools to allow you to inject the image into the BIOS/Firmware of the base board - Fujitsu is good for this.

but most manufacturers prefer you to send the image and they will prepare a flash updater for you, some charge, some do it free.
