Latest Microsoft patches have broken our application RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

We are software developers of a Visual Studio dotnet application. For our customers with a significant number of users, we put the runtime components on a network share, and they run the application from there.

In order to let them execute the application from the network share, we run 'caspol.exe' from the workstation to allow permissions. Like so..

    caspol.exe -m -ag LocalIntranet_Zone -url file:\\serverName\ardex\runtime\* FullTrust

    This has worked well.

The latest set of Microsoft updates though - has broken this. It is very annoying. We've had hundreds of calls..
