    Hi Experts!

    I am planning to use microsoft connector for oracle by attunity for ssis and I have few questions as below.

    1) We have SQL server 2008 Enterprise edition, do we need to purchase any further license for "microsoft connector for oracle by attunity" or it comes free?

    2) My Source and Destination both are Oracle databse infact same database instance and i have move data from one table to another. Do you recommend using SSIS in such situation? . Please Recommend if you thing there is a better approach. Keeping in view that source and destination table resides on same database schmea of oracle, however table column and datatypes are different, volume is higher and performance is key requirement.

    1, It comes with enterprise edition of 2008 so you dont require special licenses

    2, if you dont have much transformations etc then using ssis is an overkill. You may be much better off implementing it using PLSQL queries/procedures or setting up replication depending on the scenario
