Automating Outlook UI tests RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I'd like to add some automation to my add-ins tests.
I'm mainly deal with the Calendar views.

I prefer to have the automation in a UI level, as there are some scenarios which I really like to trigger from the UI (expand appointment in the calendar, drag and drop an appointment, dbl-click an appointment, select an appointment).

What is your experience with automation Calendar UI?
Can you recommend on any tool?

  • i use testcomplete for autmated ui tests in outlook, but it actually handles outlook ui quite poorly - almost nothing can be recognized and most of actions is recorded as point click (not clicks in recognized controls, but hardcoded screen points). Maybe others will share info about better tools for outlook
