  • Hi lekhanhky,

According to the error message above, this issue is related to your connection string, please check the steps below when you connect to SQL Server database in Connection Properties dialog box.

    1. In the Connection Properties dialog box, make sure that Microsoft SQL Server (SqlClient) appears as selected in the Data source box.

    2. In the Server name box of the Connection Properties dialog box, type the name of the SQL Server instance that you want to connect to.

If SQL Server is running on the same machine as LightSwitch, you can type localhost into the Server name box.

Please let me know if there is anything that I can do to help.

    Best regards,

    Angie
