Change background color for selected toolbox

    Question

  • VS 2012 Ultimate: in Web Developer, I have a .aspx file in split mode, when click some toolbox into the desing screen, the source screen put in background the corresponding code, I need to change that background color (It's too difficult to distinguish in my external monitor). What is the item in text and color setting?

  • Hi friend,

If you could share us a snapshot of the background that will be better.

Base on my understanding, you want this kind of split windows with different background color, right?

If so, I thing you could just change the color theme of VS, go to Tools -> Options -> Environment-> General:

We could switch between light and dark.

    Or

If you may want to have more choice to set the design window, I think you could find it in Html designer:

Please feel free to let me know if I’ve misunderstood.

    Best regards,

    Fletch
