How to support seek function of microsoft media player. RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • My name is Jay Yang and I am a software developer in charge of DLNA media player development.
I implemented a DLNA media server function.

The server supports seeking function for DMP (Digital Media Player) and XBMC or VLC player works correctly.

But when I played video in MS Media Player and tried to seek to later time position, the MS Media Player stopped.

I had analyzed network packets of MS Media Player and tried to create same header tag as DMS (Digital Media Server) of MS Media Player.
    But I still failed.

Is there any important tag info I missed?

May you give any suggestion for the media seek request?

    Thank you very much!

  • There are now a handful of references down the right side of this web page relating to SEEK for Media Player.

I cannot actually help you myslef beyond that.

  • Hi Jay Yang,

    Welcome to MSDN Forum.

From your description, it is not a C# related question, I think it should be better if we change the thread type to General Discussion.

Thanks for your understanding and active participation in the MSDN Forum.
