Charging annually for my app in Windows 8 app store RRS feed

  • Question

  • I wish to charge annually for a application I want to submit to the Windows 8 app store. Am I allowed to charge a annual fee for the use of my app. For example, the purchaser must re buy the app every 12 months to use it.

  • Are you looking for the Windows Store or Windows Phone Store?  There are differences, and these are the Windows Phone developer forums.

You cannot charge again for the app once it has been purchased.  Windows Phone In-App Purchase does not support a subscription model, unlike Windows 8 In-App Purchase which allows time-limited purchases to enable features.

You must also satisfy the App Policies.  In particular 2.1.
