HttpClient hangs when multiple unread response bodies accumulate RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • After trying to figure out why HttpClient stopped submitting requests after 2 successful ones (always 2), I figured out that the cause was unread response bodies.  When calling `SendAsync` with the `HttpCompletionOption.ResponseHeadersRead`I was not always reading the responses before sending the next request, but once I started to read the requests, the log jamb seemed to clear up and I could send requests again... yay.  Is there any way to get this behavior in the documentation, because it was extremely frustrating for me and I don't wish this on anyone else.  If this threw an exception in code, even better!

I can confirm that it was not the server I was connecting to because there were zero packets sent or received from the IP address I was communicating with after the second successful request.

    I'm using .NET framework 4.6.2

I haven't used this platform very much, so if there is a better place to ask this, please let me know!
