minimum drivers required to boot IOT core RRS feed

  • Question

  • I was able to build my UEFI to start the boot process for Windows 10 IoT core.

It makes it through the bootmgfw.efi and it looks to be loading the early stage windows but is stalling and returning to the Windows Boot Manager with a status 0xc0000225

"A required device isn.t connected or can't be accessed."

I have on all the debug switched on I can find but don't see any way to get more info on just what is causing the stall.

I am wondering what is the minimum required device drivers needed to boot?

I am assuming the SDHC/SD driver may be one but not sure about or if there are others.

I have the kernel debug setting on (serial 115200 etc.) but DO NOT see the typical "kernel debug" id message on the same UEFI boot terminal com port.

Is a kernel mode serial driver required on the target for kernel debug? if so how do you specify which COM port (on the target) it will use?

I assume the kernel debug attachment is the first thing to get working so I can develop/bootstrap the other drivers as needed.

Any insight on how to proceed with the board bring up?

    thanks
