WinCE 6.0 schema apply by progrmatically using vc++ RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

    We have integrated custome schema in the platform.reg file and its not applying to the image automatically after build.

    But in the schema dropdown list it can be selected and we can apply manually to activate our custome schema after image bootup.

    please mention the way to achive while burning the image itself.

    Here is the Registry code

    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Appearance]

    "Current"="Test-cool-green"

    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Appearance\Schemes]

    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Appearance\Schemes\Test-cool-green]

    "DisplayName"="Test-cool-green"

    "Settings"=hex:\

          ff,ff,00,00,e2,e7,e9,00,3a,6e,a5,00,00,00,80,00,80,80,80,00,c0,c0,c0,00,ff,\

          ff,ff,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,ff,ff,ff,00,88,9e,a7,00,88,9e,\

  • Capture (export) the registry on the device (using for instance Remote Registry Tool) before selecting your custom scheme in the dropdown. Then make the selection and capture the registry again. Now compare the 2 registries to see which setting you need to add to platform.reg to make your custom theme the selected one by default.

    Good luck,

  • Hi Harish,

    I think your issue should be raised in the Windows Embedded Compact Platform Development. I believe they will know more information of this issue than us, and I will move this one to that forum.

    Thanks for your understanding,

    Best regards,
    Jesse
