Could not load type 'Microsoft.PlatformBuilder.Automation.OSDesignProject2' from assembly "Microsoft.PlatformBuilder.Automation.6.00, Version=6.0.0.0....

I reinstalled VS2005 + platform builder few times.. but it does not help.

I removed ALL others MS product from PC.

VS2005 had a patch that was required to install it on Vista and Windows
7 (32 and 64 bits), did you install it?

  • Hi,

Since you had previously installed WEC7,so better do a fresh install by wiping your Windows Vista.

I hope you are following right sequence(Lot of articles available online on the sequnce) for installing the PB6.

Because I was using Windows Vista 32 bit with the PB 6. I didn’t had any problem.

I know that reinstalling of Windows will help me... but it takes a lot of time.

MAybe there is another way to fix it?

I am afraid that the WEC7 setup left something on your system.
Did you uninstall also VS2008? Installing VS2005 on a machine where
VS2008 is already installed usually leads to troubles.
You may try with a registry clean-up tool (after you unistalled VS2005
and CE7), but you risk to damage your windows installation...
