Embedding fonts in the rdlc report RRS feed

         How can the fonts be embedded in the reports

  • No , i think its not possible.
    Whatever font you use in your report should be installed both on the server where the report is generated and on the client.

  • With 2005/SP3 and 2008/CU1 or SP1, exporting to PDF will embed the fonts from the server, but there isn't a way to embed the fonts directly into the rdl or rdlc file at this time.

  • Hi,

          I am using the RDLC reports . I had installed the fonts on both the client and server but the Hindi fonts are shown on the report viewer correctly but while exporting to pdf wrong spellings of hindi are there like word PITA is shown PTIA

  • Check
    1. Run the query through SSMS and see if the result is as per expectation.
    2. On the text box that you use to display the hindi font, make sure font is select as per requirement.
    3. Also try the unicode version of hindi font.
