Having troubles accesssing Outlook Calendar API RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

    I'm trying to grab events from my outlook account with a simple jquery script with Ajax.  I have no problem getting my access token, but when I try to access the REST API call, I get:

    {"error":{"code":"ErrorInternalServerTransientError","message":"An internal server error occurred. Try again later."}}

    I followed along these 2 different tutorials/documentations to no luck:

    https://dev.outlook.com/restapi/getstarted

    http://www.paitgroup.com/display-events-from-an-outlook-calendar-in-sharepoint-using-office-365-apis/

    This is ajax request I'm trying to make:

    $.ajax({
    	type: "GET",
    	url: 'https://outlook.office.com/api/v2.0/me/mailfolders/inbox/messages?$top=10',
    	headers: {'Authorization': 'Bearer ' + token,
    		'Accept': 'application/json;odata.metadata=minimal;odata.streaming=true',
    		},
    	'error': function(jqXHR, textStatus, errorThrown) {
    			console.log(jqXHR)
    		},
    	'success': function(res) {
    		console.log(res);
    		alert("success");
    	}
    });

    What's interesting is that I've tried the sandbox: https://oauthplay.azurewebsites.net/

    and I also get the same problem as I have now, but when I try the sand box account, I can get the results I expect.

    What am I missing something?

    Thanks!

    Josh

  • I finally solved the problem. I don't know what caused it, but there seems to be something wrong with the Outlook account I'm currently using. I've made a new outlook email account and everything works great.
