Well adding a logo is quite easy, and that can be simple copy paste also you can drag an image from solution explorer to the report.
In order to add a footer you can right click> Insert> Section>
1. There will be footer in the left sidepain, click on that and another will be added just below an existing one, as one is already present when you create a report.
But can you explain me what you are trying to accomplish when you say you want to bind to an event?
