Running a .Net console application off a usb drive RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have a C# .Net console application I want to run from a usb drive plugged into a system.  However, I do not want to have to install the .Net framework on the system.  I want to be able to run everything off the usb drive, without having to install anything on the system.  Does anyone know how this can be accomplished?

    Thanks

  • Basically, you can't.

Your app requires the support of the .NET CLR to run. Therefore, the required version of the .NET Framework must be installed on the target system where you want to run your app.
