Connecting Azure to Site to Site VPN RRS feed

  • Question

  • We currently have a Cisco RV042G router and we are trying to connect that to Windows Azure site to site VPN to move over with a hybrid cloud. I cannot figure out how to do this.

I have ran through the following articles:

    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/azure/dn133795.aspx

    http://blogs.technet.com/b/canitpro/archive/2013/10/09/step-by-step-create-a-site-to-site-vpn-between-your-network-and-azure.aspx

On the setup it doesn't have a configuration file for this router, Does that mean that this router is not compatible?

  • Hi,

According to the known compatible VPN devices in Azure, for Cisco devices, only the ASA, ASR and ISR devices are supported. For more detailed information, please refer to the link below:

  • Hi,

Kindly check Known compatible VPN devices to see if your device is compatible with Virtual Network.

All devices in the device families in this list should work with Virtual Network. To help configure your VPN device, refer to the device configuration template that corresponds to appropriate device family.

    Regards,

    Mekh.
