MDS Website Explorer gives an "Unknown Error has occurred" RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm unable to get the Explorer area of MDS to function on one of our servers. All other areas of the site function, but explorer simply says, "An Unknown Error Occurred." and then "Permission Denied" if I go back.

    This particular instance was just restored from a backup of our MDS production server which is functioning fine. Both servers are running the same version of MDS (10.50.1746.0)

    I checked this post out, but the permissions all match up with what the accounts in production have. I tried deleting and recreating the website, but that didn't change anything.

    We have another instance of MDS running in a different instance on the same box, but both were running off of separate websites fine previously.

    The log shows this information for the error:

    I'm not really sure what to look for from here so any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,

  • Figured this out finally. For some reason "clr enabled" was set to 0 after the restore.

    Msg 6263, Level 16, State 1, Procedure udpMembersGet, Line 89

    Execution of user code in the .NET Framework is disabled. Enable "clr enabled" configuration option.

    Fix:

    sp_configure 'show advanced options', 1;
    GO
    RECONFIGURE;
    GO
    sp_configure 'clr enabled', 1;
    GO
    RECONFIGURE;
    GO
