How to Determine State of Show Markup Revision RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

    In our document add-in solution for Word 2013, I need to determine the current toggle state of Show Markup -> Balloons on the Review | Track Changes ribbon group.  There are 3 mutually exclusive options the user can select: "Show Revisions in Balloons", "Show All Revisions Inline", and "Show Only Comments and Formatting in Balloons".  Is there any programmatic way to find which option is currently selected?

    Yes, we can get this options via View.MarkupMode Property. For example, there is an example that set the options to display revisions in balloons in the left or right margin.

      ActiveWindow.View.MarkupMode = wdBalloonRevisions
