Access 2013 - Open Access Web App I previously worked on RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have been extensively creating Access desktop apps for many years.  I just started my first Access web app the other day.  I now want to get back into that and continue development.  But how on earth do I do that?  Are any of the files stored locally for me to simply 'open'?

    Thanks a bunch!

  • Hi,

a web app (actually the pointer file to a web app) has the extension accdw. If you don't find a file like "YourWebAppName.accdw" on your machine then

    • open the web app in the browser
    • click the gear icon in the upper right corner
    • choose "Customize in Access"
    • this should bring up a dialog asking if an according accdw shall be safed locally
    • if you choose to save it then next time you can double click this link file to open the web app
