Projects get invalid, if a new workflow version is deployed RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

when I change a project server workflow in Visual Studio and deploy it again to SharePoint, all projects that have already been started with an earlier version of this workflow get invalid. If I try to open such a project in Project Center I get the error message: "Unable to open project, no valid Project Detail Page could be found for the project."

    Is this a "normal" behaviour?

    With kind regards,

    Ronny

  • Hello Catalin,

thanks for the hint. That's a good approach. I've discovered, that when there is an approval in the workflow that has already been passed, the approval needs to be given again, when the workflow is restarted. I guess, that's "by design".
