  • Hi Vishal. From what I understand, the goal is to prevent the workflow from advancing to the next stage until a certain user does 'something'. What about using an approval task in the workflow?

    Go to

    http://projectserver2010.codeplex.com/

and search for  "Project Site Workflow For Project Server"

And you'll find code there (particularly the PSWApprovalTask) which should accomplish the goal.

  • Hi Vishal,

You should be able to change the owner of the Project, coupled with security, that will stop other users from being able to submit the project.

A simpler approach may just be to allow anyone to submit, but add an appropriate approval task after the submit, this could be the PM, or another level of governance. This is slightly simpler than changing the owner back and forth.

    hope this helps.

  • Hi you can create a stage just with a PDP, and then use the Infopath approach to use permissions in that page and make it Read-only:

    Hope that helps,
