  • you may refer to these link to implement your saveAsImage code, you just need to copy those code into your app.

and you meantioned you wanted to save as image every step, then you can put the save as image function in designer_TextChanged event.

if sample code needed, please let me know.

  • There is a sample to get the Visual View of Workflow by Tracking at http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee624139(VS.100).aspx.
What you need to do is building a similar Visual View service like the sample. And add you save image code after each tracking step. You can find the code in link gave by Ye.

You MUST have a UI hosted, otherwise you cannot get the visual picture.

BUT, putting the BIG action in the tracking is not a good habit, it will reduce the performance of the workflow.

  • I have an application hosted in IIS working with workflow and I want my users to be able to see the state of the running workflow instance in a visual manner(by means of a graphic, image or something else).

I've seen too many sample but all of them using window and workflow designer to render the workflow. considering there is no visual facility on the server side, is there any workaround or other way to accomplish this?

    Thanks

  • Do the solutions Ye and Hong provided solve your problem? If not, you mentioned that none of the samples code you tried works. Can you share the code that doesn't work and let's see what's wrong with that?
