Do consulting companies qualify for empower RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,
I have started a new software consulting firm. Our first project is to build a new web based application for our client. Given we are building an app for a client, do we qualify for empower?

What is the best licensing option for a new consulting firm? we need visual studio/msdn licensing.

    Thanks,
    Kunal.

  • Hi Kunal,

I can assist with a few contact points within Microsoft:

These teams will be able to answer your questions or put you in touch with the right contact.

If you're curious, there's a relatively new program called INNOVATE ON, which is free to enroll in and compliments Empower for ISVs nicely. Where Empower is about providing tools and discounted licensing/CALs, INNOVATE ON is all about providing guidance and benefits (both technical and marketing) throughout the development cycle, which are designed to help accelerate solutions to market. Existing product paths include Vista, Office 2007 (OBA), SQL Server 2005, Dynamics, Windows Server 2008, Windows Live, and Office Live. www.innovateon.com

    All the best,
