Recurrence Start Date Field

Hello,

Whenever the recurrence field is checked and the new form is submitted for review I cannot save the Edit form if there is no start date entered into the recurrence. I know it is as easy as inputting one myself, but I would like for the one who submitted it to do it correctly. 

Would anyone have a workaround to where A) It auto-populates from the Start Date in the non-recurrence date option, B) Makes the start date in recurrence to be a required field, or C) Another solution?

Hi,

For the StartDate field in Calendar list form, it is a required field for both recurrence/unrecurrence events.

It will by default populate with current date, if not changed it, it's by design and if removed the date in the datepicker, it will show a warning message and the item can't be saved when saving:
