The Bing Map in the extent of Hong Kong has shifting problem RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • I was trying to import point layers by latitude and longitude to display it on Bing Map, but I've encountered the below problem.  It seems that the basemap in the extent of Hong Kong has shifting problem.  For instance,

    1. The coordinate I input in search gave a wrong location
    2. When switching to the Aerial map, the road network can be seen shifted from the aerial image

Anyway to adjust the coordinate such that it can be displayed on Bing Map correctly?

  • That is probably the road tiles that has slipped.

Added another layer on top of of aerial and it is perfect match. That is something you should report to Bing Maps..

  • Hi Rudolph,

MSDN is the Microsoft Developer Network and deals with the Bing Maps API and not the data.  Can you try following the recommended steps so that the issue is reported to the correct folks?

Report a data or Bing Maps website related issue:

To report a data related issue, please go to www.bing.com/maps.

    • In the lower right hand corner, click on the Feedback button as shown below and select General Feedback or Problem on Map.

    Sincerest thanks,
